BRC and IFS certificates – a guarantee of quality and safety at PROMAR

The modern food market poses ever greater challenges for producers, with growing consumer expectations, demand for the highest quality goods and the need for transparency in production processes being just some of them. Food quality and safety are no longer just additional advantages – they are an absolute standard.

At PROMAR, we treat these issues as a priority, believing that the foundation of our customers' trust is not only taste and functionality, but also the guarantee that the product has been manufactured in accordance with the highest international standards. One of the proofs confirming these efforts are the results of BRC and IFS audits.

Why are BRC and IFS certifications important?

There is no place for compromise in the food industry – food safety is a responsibility we take upon ourselves every day. That is why we attach so much importance to maintaining and continuously improving quality management systems in accordance with the international standards of BRC (British Retail Consortium) and IFS (International Featured Standards). Both certificates belong to the GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative) group of recognised standards, which cover all key areas related to food safety – from raw materials, through the production process, to transport and distribution.

The implementation and maintenance of these standards is not a one-off activity – it is a daily practice aimed not only at meeting the requirements of customers and business partners, but also at creating innovative solutions that allow for continuous quality improvement and meeting new trends and expectations in the food industry.

What does meeting BRC and IFS requirements mean in practice?

PROMAR's top marks in IFS and BRC audits are no coincidence. They are the result of many years of commitment from the team, conscious quality management and an organisational culture in which every employee understands their role in ensuring product safety.

In practice, meeting the BRC and IFS requirements means, among other things:

  • Creating and implementing a HACCP plan – a hazard analysis and critical control point system that enables the identification and elimination of food safety risks.
  • Maintaining complete quality documentation – including policies, procedures, instructions, records and other elements enabling process supervision and auditability.
  • Applying good manufacturing and hygiene practices (GMP and GHP) – thanks to which each stage of production takes place in conditions that meet strict sanitary standards.
  • Continuous improvement – systematic reviews, risk analyses, employee training, and corrective and preventive actions.
  • Commitment of the entire team – from production operators to warehouse staff to management – everyone is aware that quality is a shared responsibility.

Certification is not a goal – it is a standard of operation

At PROMAR, we believe that true quality begins with people – their knowledge, passion and commitment. The Quality Department ensures that all processes meet the requirements of the standards on a daily basis, but it is thanks to the cooperation of the entire team that we are able to implement the quality policy in practice.

The results of the BRC and IFS audits are not only confirmation that we operate in accordance with best practices – they are also a commitment to further development, investment in innovation and maintaining a high level of safety and legal compliance.

Our products add flavour to life, and the BRC and IFS certificates we have obtained are an expression of our conscious approach to food production. We are proud of the trust our partners in the food industry place in us and we are constantly working to not only maintain it, but also to strengthen it.
