PROMAR invests PLN 100 million and accelerates international expansion

PLN 100 million, a five-fold increase in production capacity, and a modern, fully automated factory in Zawiercie: these are the key elements of the largest investment in PROMAR’s 36-year history. Kown for years for innovative solutions for the food industry, the company is entering a new phase of development, placing increasing emphasis on export activities and expansion into foreign markets.

From a local partner to an international expert

PROMAR was founded in 1989 and started as a supplier of solutions for the meat sector. In the following decades, it systematically expanded its offer and strengthened its position in the food industry. A key moment in the company’s history was 1999, when PROMAR joined the international Poly-clip System group. This step gave the company access to global know-how and significantly accelerated its development.

In 2015, a modern production plant with an Application Center was launched in Zawiercie. It is a space where a team of PROMAR technologists and experts develop and improve products, while allowing customers to test solutions in conditions similar to production. Today, the plant in Zawiercie is a strategic center of production and innovation, serving both the domestic market and an increasing number of foreign customers.

The largest investment in PROMAR’s history

PROMAR is implementing an investment project worth more than PLN 100 million, which will considerably increase the scale of operations of the plant in Zawiercie. The area of the facility will be almost doubled, and its production capacity will increase fivefold. The warehouse part will also be expanded, which will enable more efficient logistics and handling of large international contracts.

The new hall will be equipped with cutting-edge automated production lines, adapted to the implementation of large-volume orders and adapted to the requirements of customers operating on global markets.

"This is a breakthrough stage of development for us. We invest not only in technology, but above all in the future of the company and our team. Automation of processes will allow us to respond to market needs faster and undertake projects that have so far been out of our reach" - emphasizes Marcin Marmajewski, President of the Management Board of PROMAR.

From concept to implementation

The process of preparations for the expansion of the plant in Zawiercie began at the beginning of 2024. PROMAR established a design team with the participation of consultants from 2M Project Management and a specialized architectural and design office, which has developed comprehensive technical documentation. 20 contractors took part in the tender procedure and, after a detailed analysis of the bids and talks, SPEC BAU was selected as the general contractor.

Thanks to good coordination and efficient administrative procedures, the company quickly obtained all the necessary permits, including the environmental decision. Currently, the construction works are proceeding according to schedule: earthworks are coming to an end, and in the coming months, it is planned to close the structure and prepare the facility for the assembly of automated production lines.

This investment will allow us to enter a new level of efficiency and process repeatability. It is the cornerstone for the company’s further expansion on international markets - emphasizes Krzysztof Zając, Member of the Management Board and Technical Director of PROMAR.

Responding to market challenges

The dynamically changing reality of the food industry—the increase in the costs of raw materials, energy, and labor, as well as the price pressure from retail chains—require flexibility and an innovative approach from manufacturers. PROMAR responds to these needs by offering solutions that allow to maintain product quality while optimizing costs, together with comprehensive technological support: from formula development to implementation on production lines.

Investing in a new factory is not only a step towards modern technologies, but also the development of the team and competences of employees. The company focuses on continuous staff improvement, training, and attracting young talents, building a strong team of experts ready to meet the requirements of international clients. The entire project was planned based on the principles of energy efficiency and sustainable development, in accordance with the latest industry standards.

Our ambition reaches beyond being just a supplier—we want to be a real strategic partner for food producers. The new investment provides us with opportunities to support our customers even more effectively, both in Poland and on foreign markets. I believe that this step brings PROMAR closer to the group of industry leaders on an international scale - concludes Marcin Marmajewski, President of the Management Board of PROMAR.
